I'm on an elephant...!

Today is Drew's last full day in Thailand. It also puts him past the halfway point of his trip. He flies back to Singapore Tuesday morning while Nui stays behind to spend time with her family. So, what else is there left to do in Ao Nang but ride an elephant!

How're your elephant driving skills, Drew? Nui looks a bit apprehensive.

Not sure what you're smooshing on the trunk there, but the elephant seems to like it.

Drew and Nui decided to forgo walking up 1,237 steps in 90 degree weather. A picture of the sign will have to suffice.

Emerald Pond.  Bacteria and algae give the pond its distinctive color that changes with the temperature.

As if it weren't hot enough, Drew hops in a hot spring. The others seem to know to stay away.

Drew owes a lot to Nui for a great time in Thailand! Thanks, Nui!

I leave you with a cute picture of an elephant from the AP site. Om nom nom nom.

  1. Thanks SueAnn for the blog, Thanks Nui for showing Drew around. Drew- didja hear? BACTERIA and algae in a "real" incubator- get outta there. No, you can't have the elephant even if it follows you home. Cute for what to do with the left over pumpkins from the garden.

  2. I'm happy to report, I have not gotten sick from being in Thailand.
But I want one. We already have six pets whats one more!
I knew I should have put a pumpkin in my suitcase.
